About Me

Hi, I am Tony and welcome to my world.

I have had a fortunate life and spent most of of it working in remote areas of Australia in either mining or offshore construction. This has allowed me to see some incredible places, be involved in the construction of some awesome projects and meet a lot of good people, some of whom I am still in contact with today.

Learning to dive in Victoria in my teenage years I spent a lot of time underwater, especially in Western Australia where I spent a large part of my life. Several years were spent as a volunteer at AQWA where I used to dive the shark tank to carry out cleaning and maintenance activities and I have a lot of fond memories of this time.

Other interests over the years included sailboarding, prospecting and mining for gold in the hot Western Australian deserts using a dryblower built by myself, dredging for gold in frigid Victorian mountain rivers, learning to hang glide and obtaining my hang gliding license and a period racing speedway sidecars.

The one constant in my life through all the years though has been my love of motorcycles. At the age of 12 my parents were building a house in Victoria and I remember going with my Father to see how it was going. At the site one of the builders had a yellow Bultaco Lobito and my Father asked if he would take me for a ride. That was a life changing moment and I have never been without a bike since. Through all the things I have done, the places I have been and a few failed marriages they have always been a central part of my life.

Having finally retired on a 3.5 acre property in Tasmania I am working on being basically self-sufficient while enjoying a few holidays away in my caravan or on the bikes. This site is where I will share what I am doing for anybody who is interested.
