Goroke Silo Art - Goroke -Victoria

Completed in November 2020 by New Zealand artist Geoffrey Carran the scene shows a stunning display of birds local to the Goroke area.

Goroke is a derivation from the local Aboriginal word for Magpie which is the focus of the design. This concept was further expanded by the artist to include other indigenous birds such as the Kookaburra and the Galah.

The birds are painted against a background that is typical of the region to allow the artwork to be identified with the areas identity and heritage.
