Horsham Silo Art - Victoria

Completed in May 2022 by Smug, the Horsham Silo Art tells the story of Yanggendyinanyuk, a talented tracker and cricketer from the Wimmera in the 1800s.

In 1864 while working as a boundary rider at Elgin Station he helped find three young children who were lost in the bush. Despite heavy rain that washed away the children’s tracks, Yanggendyinanyuk and two other trackers used their skills and knowledge of the area to find the children close to death after an eight day search.

Four years later he was selected as one of thirteen Aboriginal men to form the first Australian cricket team to tour England.
