Painted in April 2018 by Vans the Omega and Sam Bates, the disused Snowtown water tower became the canvas for artwork showcasing some local heroes. The main feature is John Hansen who was a steadfast member of the local Country Fire Service for more than 25 years.
Other notable local heroes depicted on the water tower artwork include Simon McCormack who was a record holder for the Blyth-Snowtown Football Club and Jenny Cox, a long time volunteer with the Snowtown Ambulance Service.
