This smaller water tank is owned by TasWater and can be seen on the side of Tea Tree Road, just outside the small town of Tea Tree in Southern Tasmania and features a range of native flora and fauna. The main animal on the tank is the Spotted-tail Quoll, the second largest surviving carnivorous marsupial in the world. An efficient hunter, the Spotted-tail Quoll captures and kills it’s prey by biting it behind the neck. It is currently a threatened species being sparsely distributed across Tasmania.
Painted by Trent Fischer in December of 2021 and being located just North of Tasmania’s capital city it is an easy tank to visit if you are on holiday around Hobart.
